These are 10 things in which I believe that quite possibly make people wonder but, in all fairness, I have met a few people who share these beliefs. We all need some off-the-wall beliefs to keep life interesting.
These are mine.
Boys Rule (and Dodge….Dodge definitely rules)
Speaking from experience raising four boys plus, being a girl myself, boys definitely are much easier to handle. Boys are laid-back, easy to please, less moody and have much less “attitude.” No PMS to deal with and your clothes, makeup, and tampons are exactly where you left them. A little pee around the toilet is much more appealing that a 13-year-old girl who wants to eat your face because you moved her mascara.
2. Cats Can Be Trained
Alright….this one is definitely a work in progress but isn’t it the thought that counts? I believe I believe, I believe!!
Grown Men Can’t Be (trained that is)
It’s like beating a dead horse by trying. Love him the way he is, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. His mother and father dropped the ball on making him perfect, not him. Don’t despair; some men will surprise the heck out of you and change themselves.
Food Is Not Fattening, (if you cut it at an angle)
The effort of cutting fattening food at an angle brings a conscious awareness to the things you are eating thereby motivating you to make healthier choices. OR….better yet, cut any food at an angle, and the calories fall out.
The Rougarou…..OH…..IT’S REAL!!.
American Indian legend has it that this creature is a shapeshifter with superhuman strength that can crush bones and has the body of a man with the head of a wolf. The darkest nights when the moon is covered is when they come out to feed. A small bite with just a few drops of blood causes that person to fall under the spell of the Rougarou for 101 days. When the new Rougarou draws the blood of its next victim, the curse transfers to that person and the current victim is then released from the curse, but they stay weakened and a bit sickly from the ordeal. They never speak of it for fear of being shamed or killed. Personally, I haven’t seen a Rougarou….yet, but I know some people who claim they have. I know he is out there.
There Is a Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow
It may not be tangible gold but nonetheless, there is “gold” out there. So many good things come into our lives that represent the gold. People experience good or great things during their time here on earth. Some others, maybe not so much. But I do believe there is a pot of gold for everyone. You need the will to get out there and look for it. In order to receive more you must be grateful for what you already have.
Ghosts….for sure there are ghosts
The existence of ghosts can not be denied. I have lived with them, my young son has seen many, and this is just something that I really believe. There is much more to us than just physical bodies here on earth. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. It gives me great solace to know that we move on from here to something better. It’s a consciousness much the same as a dream. You’re there, but your body isn’t.
There Really is a Heaven……of sorts
Once we die we go to a kind of parallel universe where all things are perfect, We all love each other, We get to do the things we love, and everyone we know is there plus we become “all-knowing” when we get there. In her books, Sylvia Browne teaches about the “other side.” I strongly recommend her books to anyone who has a fear of dying or is trying to cope with the death of a loved one. Should you not be a believer it will nonetheless bring you some measure of comfort and something to ponder.
Home is my Haven
My house is definitely not Home & Garden fodder but it’s clean, and it’s comfortable. There is no fighting, no drama and we welcome our family and friends. The place that you love to be the most should be your home. Consequentially you change it by some attitude adjusting by those who live there. Create harmony in your home you will have a haven too.
Everyone Should Get Three Wishes…..with rules
Everyone should be granted three wishes with a couple of simple rules. Reflect carefully so as not to waste a wish. You can’t wish more wishes and wishes that would harm others are not allowed. I have spent many years honing my three wishes to perfection …..…just in case. Here they are:
- I can reach into my pocket and regardless of how much money I need at that moment the that exact amount will be there. No more. No less.
- Good health and wellness for family as no amount of money can buy it.
- You can eat anything you want without gaining weight providing you first cut it on an angle. Potato chips kind of suck for cutting and are my enormous weakness.
I live for the Fairytale that there is true love for EVERYONE…somewhere.
These are my beliefs. I am in no way trying to convince anyone that they should share them.
These make me happy. Although yours will be different choose the beliefs that will make you happy.
